Dear Chandler Allen,

Tuesday, September 11, 2001 is remembered by way of most because the day terrorists attacked the United States, however to family and friends it's the day you had been born.  It is tricky to explain that instantaneous love that we felt when we first saw you and even more difficult to give an explanation for how proud we are of you. Your dad and I've joked that we raised a a lot better individual than we are, but many days we are aware of it's the truth. If requested to describe you the words good, quiet, sort, helpful, well-mannered, witty, and a GREAT giant brother immediately are evoked.  But, there may be some other word that represents your lifestyles...INTEGRITY.  We have observed your decision to do what is true regardless of the end result or reward, make choices sensible past your years, and marveled at your skill to remain humble with your achievements. In reality, it got here as no marvel to us that when you read the Auburn Creed for a scholarship essay, you must relate and in addition "believed". We are grateful that God gave you to us as we have had the privilege of watching you serve others by way of "doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with my God." In occasions where we've got been separated through distance, I have always left you with the word, “Remember Whose you are” to remind you that you're not best the oldest child of Chris and Melinda Tyler but extra importantly a Child of God.  While we are excited to see what your future holds, we know that His plans were made for you since ahead of you had been born.

Although your senior 12 months in highschool has been unusual and you have got finished without the traditional pomp and circumstance, your achievements are not lessened. Much like I celebrate my birthday all month lengthy, I give you and all individuals of the class of 2020 permission to rejoice for the remainder of the 12 months! 😊

-Mom

Dear Chloe,

We are so proud of you. We know that college has never been easy for you, but you stay trying laborious and met your goal. You learned to deal with your studying difficulties and with worrying lecturers had been ready to learn to your personal method. We hope you never lose your force to be successful and can do good things in life. Remember luck is not what quantity of money you're making or the issues you've. Success other for everybody. We love you such a lot!

Mama and Daddy

Dear Christiana,

I feel helpless to place in phrases the distinction you deserve. It is like honoring a rose for being fragrant and wonderful. How does one truly say that?

How do you're taking four classes in a 12 months and walk away with a A hundred in each of them? You were so honoring of your teachers, coaches, parents and the very life in your arms.

After Mom died when you have been 4, I requested her doctor why he were willing to be to be had to her 24/7/365 for 2 years, as she battled to are living and be with us. He responded, "It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity." He felt so commemorated and inspired through Mom, and the affection in our family, that he returned (and multiplied) the respect.

This is what I see in you: An excessively capable and talented young lady who runs the race to win; to not beat others but to ship yourself wholly and in truth to the path in front of you. That is a profound reward of honor to every instructor, buddy and relative that sowed into your lifestyles; and to yourself. You deserve honor.

Beyond your excellent mind; your athletic skill; your beautiful sense of right and wrong; your respect of those who have gone earlier than, gone with and are coming after; your emotional stability; your fascination with studying; your delight in the quirky; your authentic love; and an excessively mature knowledge; you possess extra.

You have a singular and special "song" inside of you. You possess a non secular existence, wholeness and joy that undergirds all of it. It opens your eyes and middle to all of the marvel and thriller around us. It has been born and nurtured as you could have said "Yes," over and over, to the One who made you. You have stated "Yes," to what Dr. Starks at BTW recorded in her music for the 2020 grads: "Meant to Be."

Concussions took away a lot of what you was hoping to experience in High School. A hearth stole your college. The cheap stole your magnet. An epidemic chopped all of it off early. And the Life within you arose again.

I incessantly bow my head with a great disgrace for what my era is handing off to yours; but there is not anything more hopeful on the planet to me than to look at you find, embody, and manifest joy with this type of dedication to excellence.

It is a brilliant pleasure to be your dad — to like you extra each day — and to permit you to go — trusting God and trusting you with this precious lifestyles.

Congratulations for a direction effectively run. BTW Strong. "Christiana:" Anointed One.

-Dad

Dalton,

Your manners will take you some distance. 😊  As I at all times let you know see the most efficient in everyone. Be stable and courageous. We turn thru your entire notes and cards and images you drew, recall your quips and humor. 'Unique', expensive son, that's you! Your long run holds such a lot in retailer but that smile is all you need. You've always been so mild, so loving, type and giving.     I made sure that we were given with reference to the steps of the library for the rally, and as the Million Dollar Band cued up, I leaned into your father and said, “Watch her.”

The first few blasts of the horns hit the air, and your smile stuffed your little face and traveled all the way through your whole frame. You had learned to sing, “Yea Alabama,” as soon as it is advisable to string in combination sentences, but this was the first time you witnessed a marching band up shut and experienced the struggle song because it used to be intended.

I simply knew how much the pageantry and revelry of this moment would thrill you. I used to mention that you simply were just like the chorus of the Gretchen Wilson music, “Here for the Party.” Your resolution to search out something to rejoice is your superpower — resilience. You are grit, grace and genius, and you are going to go some distance.

It has been our pleasure to observe you embrace joy. Now, unfold your wings, tenacious Ladybug. We are so very proud of you.

You have never didn't amaze me with your dedication to do things right. Your love in your family and God is astounding. You have at all times confirmed grace and forgiveness with the ones much less deserving and really blessed with a center of Gold.

Always remember that you’re ordinary, good and kind. We are so very happy with you and your whole accomplishments. Goodbye to the old and ready for brand new adventures with our once baby, now younger man. Follow God in all you do, we're so very happy with you.

Love you always and perpetually,

Mom & Dad

Jonathon Trey Robinson, Marbury High

Trey,

It doesn’t appear that way back that you just have been only a baby. I have in mind in Kindergarten whilst you pulled the fire alarm at school (luckily it was once after school was once disregarded). I have in mind camp outs, Pinewood Derbys, circle of relatives vacations and vacations. It all went by so quickly. We are so pleased with the young guy you've got become. Remember, life is a marathon, now not a sprint. When you turned into a Cub Scout changing into an Eagle Scout seemed so far away. When you began Kindergarten high school commencement seemed so far away. When you began martial arts, turning into a black belt seemed up to now away. I bet you don’t even understand what number of objectives you've gotten already completed. Keep that very same perseverance, by no means surrender, and never hand over studying and you will be an enormous success. I wish I may change your senior 12 months and I hate that it ended so impulsively. We are so very pleased with you for the entirety that you just’ve accomplished. We can’t wait to look what the long run has in store for you and we wish you not anything but the most efficient. We are your biggest fanatics. We love you more than you will ever know.

Love,

Mom & Dad

Dear Lucas,

As you graduate and make your own method on this international, your probabilities are only limited to what you restrict them to. I will be able to see great things for your future, my one and only child. My man/boy. I've beloved you ever since I was advised I used to be pregnant with you, each flutter in my belly from you, each and every sigh, cry, tantrum, snigger, smile and breath since you have been born. You are my complete center. You are my reason why for being here on this Earth. I like many people but, none have I beloved as much as I've you. So although you would possibly not get to stroll on your graduation ceremony, know that you're making me so very proud to be your mother. I handiest hope I did a good sufficient job in elevating you, that I have never crippled you from being the rest you wish to have to be, cross anywhere you need to head. Nothing you ever say or do could make me not love you, so unfold those wings my son and fly, bounce high because the sky.

Love,

Mom

Malachi,

Your commencement is a milestone and day we have envisioned for many years. On the first day of each school yr I would at all times say it’s getting closer and smiled. My smile was once in anticipation of your graduation day. I cried the primary day I dropped you off at West Jasper Elementary school on your first day of Pre-K even supposing it was simplest half a day. How it broke my heart to depart you within the care of any individual else, however I prayed on your protection. By your first day of kindergarten, you possibly can have idea I had gotten used to dropping you off once more, I was crying. Even if you made it to first and second grades and all of the approach to 5th grade, I nonetheless dropped you off with a lump in my throat. When we transitioned to Montgomery, in the middle of your fifth-grade yr all of the fears of dropping you off in class came again as though it was the primary time. I despatched you off to catch the school bus, you confident me the entirety used to be fine. Took a picture, stated I love you and you have been off, showing me, it's essential do this with out me. And with each milestone that comes all the way through elementary college, heart faculty, highschool, there remained a lump in my throat. I've at all times anticipated graduation day.

Crazy thing my handsome son, I feel I've cried extra your first day of your senior year than every other day of all your faculty years. I watched you walk away from the car over one million instances earlier than however this time one million recollections came speeding. The day you have been born, your first birthday, your first phrases, your first college dance, your first soccer sport, such a lot of reminiscences. But this used to be your first day of your ultimate year of college. You had been not the one to verify I used to be OK, or the one guarding my mattress when I used to be unwell or my “ache in the butt." You were now becoming a young man.

The countdown begun, and although many memories of your senior year have been taken away, this is one that — although different from the traditional  —will still remain a very memorable one. We are extremely proud of the young man you have become. You have taught us many lessons along the way. Continue to make us proud. Our tears are complicated, these tears you see aren’t tears of sorrow but tears of joy, excitement, and anticipation and of the purest love any human can ever know.

Congratulations to you son, and the Class of 2020.

Love,

Mom and Dad!

Dear MaryEllen “Mari”,

We are so proud of you and how much of a beautiful, wonderful, young lady you’ve become since the first time we laid eyes on you! We always considered you our miracle child because we thought we couldn’t have another child and then you came along.  You’ve definitely kept us on our toes with your different personality but kind heart!  We know you will enjoy Valdosta State University and will become a wonderful nurse in the future! We look forward to seeing what the future holds for you and know that we are always behind you 100% and through your continued loved for our Lord and Savior, you will succeed!

We love you very much and you will always be “our little Mari”!

Mom & Dad (Sisters: Ale & Lainie)

My dearest Micah,

Congratulations! You did it! I am so proud of you!

Wow, you are an 18-year-old graduate and making life decisions. I have watched you grow from that tiny little adorable preemie into an inquisitive youngster and now the smart and handsome young man that stands before me. I often look at you and ask myself where did the time go. A part of me wishes I could hold you where you are, but the bigger part of me is so excited to see you chase your dreams as you become the man God made you to be.

There are so many qualities in you that make me proud to be your mom.

One in particular is how you’ve handled adversities in your path. Not only have you overcome them, but you are standing strong like the champion you are. You didn’t allow situations to change you from being that consistently kind, considerate and respectable young man who is always willing to help others. Those adversities didn’t break you. They made you stronger and better!

I admire the man you are becoming! Keep a positive attitude, it will take you far on your life’s journey. Difficult times and decisions will come, but, you have been equipped and raised on a strong foundation that you can depend on. There is nothing you and God can’t handle. I can even hear in my mind you saying, “I know Mom”.

I am so sorry your school year ended abruptly and you didn’t get a chance to experience your senior year activities but just know bigger and better events are coming. There are many doors before you to choose from and I know you will make wise choices.

Son, as you leave to start your military training and school, it will be extremely difficult for me. I know I will cry many tears. Yes, because I will miss you, but there will also be tears of joy because I am so very happy for you and proud of you. Just continue to put God first. Ask for and trust HIS guidance at all times.

Love Always,

Mom💕

Michelle,

From the day you were born, fighting for your life in the NICU to this last year working hard to get into the Army, you have always been a strong fighter in life. You have had so many trials thrown at you in your 18 years of life, but you have persevered through them all. You have worked so hard to get to where you are, and we are so proud of you and your determination. Take that determination with you into adulthood and military life and you will do great! When life gets hard, never give up. Always do what is right even when nobody's watching. Keep your faith and trust in God for He will never leave you, even when it feels like you are alone, He is still there working on something magnificent for you. Congratulations kiddo, you did it! We are so proud of you! We love you Michelle!

Love, Dad & Mom

Nia Karin,

You have done it again! You have risen to every occasion and tackled every obstacle that your senior year has given to you. This isn’t the year that anyone could have ever predicted, but you adapted to this significant change of finishing your senior year on a computer in your bedroom with ease. For that, I applaud you.

My prayer is that you remember who you are and whose you are. For every scholarship that you earned and every race that you won, I am proud of you. I’m even proud of the way you handled the scholarships that you did not receive and the races that you didn’t win because that is where your amazing character always managed to shine through. You always understand the lesson of it all.

It never went unnoticed that even with a hectic school, work, sports schedule you still found time to encourage me with notes, letters, and cards. I am so proud to call you my daughter. You are such a special human. I wish that you could see yourself through my eyes. You would see a delightful person with a smile that’s infectious. My prayer is that the Lord will continue to have his hand on you while you begin this next phase of your educational journey.

Remember:

You are beautiful.

You are more than enough.

Don’t let anyone steal your joy.

I love you.

Love,

Mommy

Dear Nickolas,

Words cannot accurately convey how proud I am to be your mom. You have accomplished a major milestone in life graduating from high school. It seems like just yesterday you were in kindergarten. Where did the time go? I am confident that you will continue to excel at the University of Montevallo. I will always be your biggest fan!

Love,

Mom

Son,

I sometimes wish you were still small, not yet so big and strong and tall. For when I think of yesterday, I close my eyes and see you play.

I often miss that little boy who pestered me to buy a toy, who filled my days with pure delight from early morn' to late at night. We watch you change and grow as season come, then quickly go.

But our God has a perfect plan to shape a boy into a man. Today, my son, I'm proud of you for all the thoughtful things you do.

Love always,

Mom

Dear Reese,

We are so proud of you! We cannot wait to see what the future holds for you. We hope that you love Troy University as much as we did. You are so talented, smart and have a great work ethic….the sky is the limit. Always know how much we love you and support you in all your endeavors. Congratulations! We look forward to your next chapter.

Love always,

Mom and Dad

Dear Scott,

Happy Graduation! You are such a joy to us and we are so proud of all you have accomplished in such a short 18 years! From the time you were born to the present, we have loved watching you explore your musical, athletic and scholarly endeavors, but most importantly, we have loved seeing you grow into a good person.

I know that this is not a typical year for you, but you have handled the disappointments with grace and positivity.  Your creative, upbeat attitude is a shining light of what an amazing person you are, and gives us excitement to see the man you will become. We could not be prouder.

Thanks for being a light in our lives. As you go onto college, we hope you will reflect on educational insights and lessons learned.  You have so much potential and we know you will do great things.

We will miss you at college, but know that you are on your way to becoming an incredible young man.

We love you Scott.

Mom and Dad

Shawna,

You were made for greatness and God has big plans for You. You ARE a Promise with a Capital 'P'. When I found out I was pregnant with you, it was September 10, 2001, the day before the world stopped turning, the day before 9/11. Being born into a Military family, that meant you were born into a world of "when, not if," as we lived with the possibility of a deployment, as we faced the everyday never knowing when orders would drop. We almost lost you to RSV as a baby. The nurses told us you were the happiest sick baby they had ever seen. Being the youngest sibling to two children with special needs added another layer of unique circumstances to your world. You grew up with a deeper level of compassion, of seeing those who need help more than others. Your childhood was surrounded with those who most of the world sees as broken, disabled, or just doesn’t see at all. At the precious age of 10 years old, we watched and cried as you lost your best friend to cancer, completely helpless to protect you from grief at such a young age. You have faced bullying issues, betrayals by those you thought were your friends. Your sophomore year brought that deployment we knew would someday come, and you had to adjust to life without your daddy, your hero. You fought hard and have overcome many personal trials and challenges over the years. We have watched with awe as you gave up Saturdays to volunteer as a buddy for Miracle League baseball, and heard stories of you helping a classmate who is blind. Your choices over the years for community service credits for Bridge Builders have been connected to the Special Needs community, and to the needy — loving on those that many choose not to see.

You have given up so much over the years, and we wish with ALL that we are, that we could give you back your senior year, your prom, graduation, and the seemingly simpler moments that you ache for. The signing of yearbooks, the saying goodbye to beloved teachers, staff and friends. Your senior year ended without closure or goodbyes, with a whimper instead of a whirlwind of milestones and celebrations, with a mixture of heartbreak, sadness, hope, and pride. Your name means God’s gracious gift, and on the day before the world stopped turning, God gave us you, a reason to hope in the darkness. You are our sunshine, we are proud of you. Go chase your dreams, stay gold, and as you spread your wings, know that we will always be your biggest fans.

We love you Always,

Mom and Dad

Dear Stephen,

You never cease to amaze us. We are so proud of all your accomplishments, but it’s not just about the high grades and becoming valedictorian. We’re talking about things like tenacity, perseverance, integrity, honor, determination, dependability and kindness. Yes, you are very smart, but what will get you far in life is that you make goals and stick to them. You lift others up, help people out, and make us all laugh. I love that you stand firm in your faith and service to God. You also don’t let anyone tell you that you cannot accomplish something. You have had your fair share of challenges, but you don’t let them define you. You allow them to make you a better and stronger person.

You are about to embark on the wonderful journey that is the rest of your life. It will be full of successes and failures, wins and losses, joy and heartache, but you will make the best of it. We truly believe you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. You have proven that by overcoming the adversity and stigma that comes with autism spectrum disorder. You proved to everyone just how capable you are, and we are all amazed.

We love you so much, son, and wish you all the best as you go off to the University of West Florida. Show them what you’ve got!

Love,

Mom & Dad

Dear Tamyria,

As my child, I am very proud that with the situation going on, you are graduating through this crisis.  I know that there’s been hard times but it paid off and I’m very proud to see that.

We’ve made each other laugh plenty of early mornings going to school, through rainy and sunny days. Your smile brings me a lot of joy. You’re so silly and like all of my children, I consider you my best friend.

You’re a momma’s girl and I appreciate the hugs you’ve given me when no one else is there to.

I’m very proud that even after having a baby, you still went through the struggle, held a job and finished school. You have a handsome 1-year-old son and he brightens my days, knowing he’s a part of you and me also.

You’re going to be a great nurse. I love you so much.

-Mom

Teagan -

A man stands now where my baby used to be and the sight of him all grown up moves me to tears. Teagan, you have become a wiser and stronger man than I ever dreamed of. I know by looking at you, that God has blessed me in ways that years ago I never would have believed. You are an adult to the world and that is how it should be, but in my heart you will always be my little boy. I love you and good luck in your next phase in life with the US Air Force.

We Love you!

Mama, Marcus, Malina, Granny, and Papa

Dear Troy,

We want you to know how SUPER proud we are of the man you have become. From the very beginning, I knew you would do great things. Now here you are, graduating high school in the midst of a pandemic. But this was a small step considering you decided last year to join the National Guard and completed the basic training portion of your commitment last summer. I pray that you always reach your goals in life and continue to do great things. I know your Magaw is looking down with a big smile on her face!!! We LOVE you kiddo!!!!

Love,

Mom, Doug, Miali and Mason

Tyler,

A few years ago, there was this cute little freckled faced, red curly haired kid that stole hearts everywhere he went. Now that kid has grown into an outstanding fine young man and high school graduate! What a time in history to be a high school graduate.

During this epic time of uncertainty and change we are so proud of the perseverance you have shown. We know that many things were taken from you and things you had plans for did not, could not happen. We hope and pray this will not cause a negative spirit of bitterness to develop in you but rather and a positive spirit of “I can handle anything.”

And you can, just take another look at your last report card! Yes, you had some help; but know that graduating high school does not mean you are graduating from needing or receiving help. Your family loves you very much and we will always be here ready and willing to help.

At the same time, we know that you are ready to spread your eagle wings and fly! We surely want you to. We know that you are very capable of managing on your own and it is this season of life when you will begin to do just that. But remember you are never alone. Always remember that we have we have a Savior to rely on and the Holy Spirit is near to provide comfort, wisdom, and whatever it is that you are longing for at any time.

Know that your Heavenly Father is looking out for you and your family is looking out for you also. Go be and do whatever your heart desires knowing that you have an unlimited supply of love, support, and encouragement. We are still in the process of getting through this pandemic together and we will get through this. Eventually we will get to a time of normal routine and comfort. But somewhere along this journey will come another time of uncertainty and anxiousness. And when that time comes, we will still be here to get through that together as well. No matter happens in the between.

So, during this time, and always, be cultivating that positive spirit of “I can handle anything.” Never alone - you will.

Love,

Mom and Dad

Meme and Papa Jim

Gran and Papa Knox

And the rest of your great big family

Dear Tynia,

You are one of the best parts of each of us. As you embark on this next phase of life, always remember who you are and whose you are. You are first and foremost a child of God, born to Tyrone and Vonita Rogers. There are five things that we want you to remember:

Always be yourself (no one does that better than you)Surround yourself with good people that move you forward Make good decisions NEVER give you (Plan, work, achieve)No one loves you more than we do

Forever & Always,

Mommy & Dad
